JOB DUTIES

  • Coordinate a collaborative proposal process, including coordinating the collection of project-specific information and developing proposal content and other requirements to meet established guidelines and target date
  • Develop presentations (using PowerPoint, Illustrator, Photoshop) and supporting presentation materials for project proposals
  • Manage, organize, and collect customer and sales documentation both internally and externally
  • Consistently review and improve the marketing materials used by Company for commercial sales
  • Assist with market research, including information gathering on potential clients and other industry research to support the development of a sales and marketing plan.
  • Prepare customer-related financial and energy analytics in coordination with Company’s commercial sales, engineering, and legal staff
  • Identify utility and governmental agency Request for Proposal (RFP) opportunities for Company to pursue; prepare and present recommendations for pursuing such opportunities; and execute the recommendations including coordinating RFP response preparation and submittal as authorized by Company management
  • Assist with the preliminary design and layout of energy systems using Helioscope, a user-friendly design software
  • Understand and interpret nation-wide utility rate structures and pricing, particularly the State of California and Hawaii, as well as international utility rates as necessary
  • Perform financial analysis of customer energy costs and the benefit of various alternative energy solutions, using a knowledge of how a Lease, Loan, and Power Purchase Agreement work
  • Assist with creating financial and sales forecasting reports for management team
  • Assist construction team with Utility interconnection applications and FAA submittals
  • Input, monitor, and maintain customer relationship management (CRM) software functions for Company’s commercial operations
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with customers, vendors, agencies, and co-workers
  • Participate in activities including, but not limited to, job walks, site audits, customer meetings and vendor meetings
  • Identify opportunities for Company outreach to subcontractors and contractors for commercial business development and to builder exchanges for commercial project bidding; prepare and present recommendations for pursuing such opportunities; and execute the recommendations as authorized by Company management
  • Support with other sales operations needs as assigned

DESIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, communications, or related program
  • 1-2 years of sales coordination experience in the construction or renewable industry
  • Experience with Adobe InDesign and Adobe Illustrator, preferred
  • Knowledge of solar systems and batteries, preferred
  • Excellent word processing, writing, and communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft applications, especially PowerPoint
  • Must be highly motivated, adaptable, detail-oriented, flexible, and able to work both with a team and independently
  • Must have excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Must excel with multi-tasking, problem-solving, written, and communication skills
